The Dos Pueblos wrestling team is looking forward to a successful season after taking down Lompoc on Tuesday night in DP’s very own gym, final score 57-12.
The Chargers finished on top after taking more than half of the matches.
The pre-league duel left Justin Moua, Wynter Tripplet, Nico Sorenson, Chad Lampe, Jeff Uyesaka, Paul Sinacrope, Eden Martinez, Alex Garcia and Andy Garcia victorious on the mats as the nine were able to contribute to the 45-point lead.
However, the victory wasn’t a stroke of pre-league luck.
“What made us win our matches was [sticking] to what we have been working on in practice,” said four-year varsity wrestler Chad Lampe. “We [stuck] to the game plan tonight.”
The Chargers are hoping that game plan will continue to take them to victory.
DP will head to Channel Islands next Tuesday, December 11, for their next preseason duel.
