By Emma Redick | Sports Editor | September 5, 2012
Tuesday, the Dos Pueblos girls tennis team traveled to Calabasas and lost with a final score of 12-6.
Despite the loss, DP’s doubles teams are continuing to rack up points.
Juniors doubles team, Helena Lee and Amber Sharpe swept all three of their matches. Meanwhile, sophomore Chloe Shott and freshman Adele Shraiman also had a high-scoring day as they nearly scored a sweep, losing their last match 7-6.
Although the loss to Calabasas marks the team’s third loss, the Chargers are still in the beginning of their season.
The youthful team will be able to gain more playing time as they face off against Nordoff High on September 14 as part of the Santa Maria four-team tournament.
