Come rain or shine, the Dos Pueblos cross country team is ready to run.

This past Saturday at the CIF-SS Cross Country Championships at Mt. San Antonio College, the boys cross country team and junior runner Addi Zerrenner ran the 2.96 rain course and qualified for the CIF-SS state meet.

Zerrenner, moving on without the girls team, ran a time of 16 minutes and 30 seconds on the course, putting in her third place overall.

From the boys team, senior co-capitan Bryan Fernandez finished the division two race in first place with a time of 14:06. The team filed in behind Fernandez as Andrew McGuan ran a time of 14:55, John Greening (15:12), Cole Smith (15:15) Ben York (15:22) and Tyler Bradford (15:41).

The Chargers finished in fifth place with 185 points as Westlake, Saugus, Redondo Union and Ayala finished first through fourth, respectively.

Dos Pueblos is off to Fresno this coming week to compete in the CIF Southern Section State competition.
